The generosity of Jeannette and Léo Johnson, our founders, has been noticed at the municipal, provincial and national levels.
In 2016, Léo was awarded Canada’s Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers. It recognizes outstanding volunteer achievements by Canadians across the country.

In December 2017, the City of Moncton awarded him the Order of Moncton. It recognizes his passion and his commitment at helping the most vulnerable people in our community.

In October 2019, he was awarded the Order of New Brunswick. This is the province's highest honour.

Special Thought and Recognition
Bertrand (Bert) Johnson was a true builder from the outset of the creation of Second Chance Workshop/Enviro Plus.
A person of great generosity, he never had set hours when it came to help the most vulnerable in our communities. His zeal and determination contributed to the launch of the « Light Program ». His dedication, compassion and indispensable commitment will always be part of an unparalleled legacy.

1st prize - ECO 360 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD
In November 2018, the ECO 360 Environmental Award was presented to Second Chance Workshop. This recognition is given to an organization that has demonstrated a passion for improving our community by playing a leading role in green initiatives and has dedicated itself to achieve a greener collective future.

In October 2017, Second Chance Workshop received the “Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce Environmental Award” This award is given to a company that has demonstrated strong environmental leadership through its policies and practices to improve environmental sustainability and reduce its harmful impact on the environment.
MAJOR DONATION OF JUNE 29th 2023
Thanks to the generosity of the New Brunswick government, Second Chance Workshop have received a check for $123,757 to cover the cost of a delivery/pickup truck. This very appreciated gesture will allow the agency to continue its mission to reduce pollution in the atmosphere and to offer employment opportunities to recipients of financial assistance wishing to make a positive change in their lives.
